Michele Pascarella founded Napoli on the Road in 2016.
He started Napoli on the Road with a three-wheel Ape Piaggio truck equipped with a wood-fired oven, bringing pizza to London’s streets and farmers’ markets.
Since then, Napoli on the Road has gained international acclaim. The pizzeria was named Europe’s No.1 Pizzeria 2024 and 2025 (making it the top in the UK) and World’s 5th Best Pizzeria 2025 by the prestigious 50 Top Pizza Awards, the leading global guide for pizzerias.
Michele was named Best Pizza Maker in the World in 2023, and his signature pizza ‘Ricordi d’Infanzia’ won Best Pizza in the World in 2025.
